How is 1337 pronounced?
What kind of a company name is 1337? If you have online gaming experience, maybe you'll make the connection right away.
But here's the explanation for those of you who think the name seems a bit odd.
We’ll start from the beginning. A certain kind of jargon emerged in the online culture of the 1980s. Gamers wanted to distinguish advanced players from beginners, so they developed a numerical language letting initiates know what category a given player belonged to. Enter 1337 on a calculator and then read the word upside down. It reads LEET, which is synonymous with Elite.
So our company is called Elite Logistics, although we spell it 1337 Logistics.
What made us choose this name? Simple. We wanted to establish the category of logistics company that we belong to. We possess many years of wide-ranging experience when it comes to warehouse, logistics and retail operations.
Our story
Five committed workmates with vision and ambition decided to make their plans a reality and to start their own company with a focus on logistics.
The year was 2017. With many years of wide-ranging experience in warehousing, logistics and retail operations, in our previous careers we had been involved in everything from unloading trucks in shops to building the most modern automation facility in Europe. End customer delivery concepts and system solutions for returns management also bore our names. As did algorithms derived to streamline picking processes in warehouse operations. All of us had worked as managers and specialists. Now it was time to do something on our own – and did it ever work! Flying start doesn’t even begin to describe it. The company we started is called Zimply Solved and is now one of our partners. We decided that we were particularly passionate about operational logistics, which is why we started another company. In 2019.
1337 Logistics – we follow your orders.
